The Educational Inquiry, Measurement, and Evaluation (EIME) doctoral program prepares graduates with PhD degrees who have the knowledge, expertise, experience, and character traits to work productively as researchers, evaluators, policy analysts, assessment specialists, and/or professors in a variety of settings:

- State offices of education (e.g., Utah State Office of Education)
- Federal regional education laboratories (e.g., Westat)
- Testing development companies (e.g., Educational Measurement Group of Pearson)
- U.S. Department of Education
- Testing agencies for professional societies (e.g., National Board of Medical Examiners)
- Private educational foundations
- Private research and development companies (e.g., RAND Corporation)
