Making an Appointment

We are dedicated to preparing professionals who educate with an eternal perspective. All freshmen and new majors are encouraged to meet with an advisor during their first semester. You can schedule an appointment by phone, email, or by coming in person to room 175 of the McKay School building. We do not accept walk-in appointments.

We do fingerprinting in office Tuesdays through Fridays from 5-9pm.

Our office is closed for the BYU Devotional each week from 10:45 AM - 12 PM.

Questions

After you’ve met with an advisor, visit the McKay School major Application page and follow the steps to declare a pre-major or minor, change your major, or apply to your major of choice.

BCI/FBI fingerprint background clearance is required for acceptance into a teaching major.

Visit https://education.byu.edu/advisement/new_fingerprinting for details on how to complete your fingerprint background check.
